It’s difficult for students to get one-on-one attention from academic counselors, electives are cut from curriculum, and students often don’t know what majors or careers they want to pursue. The cost of pursuing higher education is rising. Hypeschool closes the gap between what students need and what’s available to them. *
“I had to give up photography because when I went to high school I had to focus on science. With Hypeschool, I can learn it on my own time.”
A human-centric innovation process was utilized in developing Hypeschool. Careful and extensive consideration was given to team development, which gathered around passion for social venture, impact design, and effective brand creation. The design research process determined the direction and outcome of the entrepreneurial venture as the team designed, prototyped, iterated, and co-created cogent solutions with actual users.
Hypeschool provides accessible resources to help students create opportunities for themselves beyond high school. We offer an online learning platform designed to create rich, interactive experiences for high school students. The platform’s three components are Inspiration, Discovery, and Crowdfunding.
Beta testing with high school students, guidance counselors, and teachers positively proved product market fit with students and academic providers. Three schools (an enrichment program, a charter school, and a college preparatory academy) signed up to beta test. Additionally, Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) Learning Innovation Hub, which brings edtech entrepreneurs and teachers together, expressed interest in vetting Hypeschool as a innovative program/tool.
